Boston Trip - Monday Wanderings

Main Goals = Reach Mecca...I mean Windsor Button and go back to King's Chapel Burying Ground to see Elizabeth Pain's gravestone, which is supposed to be the inspiration for the one in the last chapter of The Scarlet Letter.  I made a wrong turn and took an unintentionally circuitous route, but I made it where I wanted to be.  I also spent some more time on Newbury Street with a great lunch @ Atlantic Fish Company.  Mmmmm....Good food and a bartender with an accent I could have cut with a knife, LOL!

Oh, and if you've heard about Windsor Button, it's all true.  They really DO carry everything from Red Heart to Rowan.  It's weird to see the crummy acrylic displayed the same way as Noro, Schaeffer, Rowan, Manos, Malabrigo, etc.

B/c of where the light was and my weak photography skills, I couldn't get a good picture of it, but the Lincoln statue really disturbed me.  I realize that the point was supposed to be Lincoln saiying "Rise up; you're not a slave any more", but I was bothered by a) the former slave being on his knees before Lincoln and b) the line about Lincoln resting after his labors; it sounded too much like "And on the seventh day, God rested."
