Hung out @ the hotel today while Hubby was at his last half-day of training. I didn't even go out for lunch; I ate leftovers here in the room. It was pouring rain, so we couldn't really get up the motivation to go out. Hubby took a looooong nap while I finished project #2 for the book. Later, we went to dinner with one of the guys from the training and his wife (the only other tag-along spouse). She was tired of "American" food, but luckily didn't mind the idea of Italian food. After some searching on Yelp, we decided on a place that turned out to be great, Antico Forno:
Hubby had a pizza, Paul had veal scallopini, Rebecca a pasta dish, and I had a fahbulous pork chop. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this place. Even on a Thursday night, the place was jumpin' and definitely seemed like a family-run Italian joint. I would have loved to explore after dinner (North End, the "Little Italy" neighborhood), but we knew that Rebecca was fading (it's that whole first-trimester exhaustion thing), so we came back.
Crossing our fingers the rain isn't too bad tomorrow b/c we want to finish The Freedom Trail.
Hi Andy and Erica,
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend the North End. When Mark and I went to Boston to visit friends we spent most of our favorite nights out there. We found this hundred or so year old coffee house by an all-night bakery and hung out and people watched. I felt like I was in Italy. It really is special. Hope you get a chance to check it out.
