For the non-knitters in the audience out there, this is not just a cute pendant. Those little charms hanging off the cresecent-shaped thing are actually stitch markers (like sticky notes that mark off sections or places you need to change what you're doing, the end/beginning of a round, etc.). I've seen this before, and I like how it looks. I guess the idea is that you can wear it and have it look like jewelry, but then have a set of pewter stitch markers ready whenever you need them.
I've seen these many times before in assorted catalogs and websites, and something that hit me recently is that this reminds me of something. I would *love* to know if Annie Adams is around my age, because this totally reminds me of something that was very "in" in the late 1970's/early 1980's when I was in high school. What do I mean? Why, charm holders and charms, of course! Things like this:

Yes, this is mine - from high school. No, I don't think I piled on all the charms at once; I think I only wore a few at a time, but my memory could be faulty. This has all been sitting, untouched, in my jewelry box since about September of 1982. I've never known quite what to do with it all. Now that I see the Annie Adams stitch marker necklaces, however, I have an idea: I could wear this instead!

I have a silver charm holder and a gold charm holder! Nette
