I think we ALL had outfits like this in 1972, didn't we? Gee, I was a cute kid, LOL....
Gosh, that was a GREAT house: four bedrooms, three full baths (this includes the master suite), sunken living room with STONE fireplace and brick floor, kitchen, breakfast room, bar (not just a wet bar, but an actual ROOM w/a pass-through, AWESOME for entertaining), formal dining room w/giant windows, laundry room, BIG front yard, BIG back yard (later owners put in a pool), attached two-car garage, looong driveway.
OK, I just checked it out on Zillow, and according to them, this house was assessed at $222,630 in 2006 and is currently worth $183,000. It is 2,491 square feet on 1/4 of an acre, people! Do you have any idea how much that would be in the Bay Area?! Let me put it this way: houses in my neighborhood that are ~1,000 square feet (3BR, 1BA) on 1/10 of an acre are showing on Zillow as $458,500. In 2006, they were $632,000. Yeah. I don't wanna think about it...
