Whew!

At dye class on Thursday, I jumped feet first into dyeing roving by dyeing 8 oz of natural white Coopworth roving with plum-colored acid dye. The color was PERFECT!

Then I rinsed it at home. It took a long time to get all the excess dye out, and in my zeal, I got a bit too forceful and felted it. I wanted to cry. I wanted to CRY, but I didn't throw it out.

Once the roving was dry, I started fussing with it to see if it was salvageable. Today, I heaved a huge sigh of relief. The roving's not in perfect condition, but it seems I *will* be able to save it and spin it up. WHEW!

I can't wait to see how it spins and plies up....
