As it happened, Saturday was WWKIP Day*. Since it was too cold for me to wear my Ravelry t-shirt or my ACKD** t-shirt, I put three of my knitting-related buttons on my trusty white baseball cap, made sure I brought some knitting with me (yeah, as if I
ever go out without some knitting in my purse!), and I made sure that we spent a good amount of time at Occidental Park. I fully expected to meet a whack of knitters there, celebrating, considering this was the square that had been hit with extensive yarnbombing. Alas, I was disappointed; I was the only knitter around. Of course, all the homeless people might have had something to do with that, LOL. (As us sometime about the homeless guy who cussed out Hubby, wouldn't take his dollar and wanted one of my buttons.)
Hubby was EVER SO PATIENT as I got a gazillion pictures of the yarnbombing and even took a picture of me, knitting in public on WWKIP Day:
*WWKIP Day = World-Wide Knit In Public Day
** ACKD = Adult Children with Knitting Disorders, the Tuesday night knitting group I belong to
