September / October KAL

Itching to knit a shawl?  Want to join a knitalong?  Need to start your Christmas knitting?  Can't decide what to knit first from What Would Madame Defarge Knit?  All of the above?  Check out the KAL for the Wilhemina Shawlette.  The knitalong is happening in a thread on the WWMDfK? group on Ravelry and is hosted by Wilhemina's designer, Chrissy Gardiner, well-known from Gardiner Yarn Works, her recently-published book, Toe Up!, and a slew of other patterns.

What will you need to join the KAL?

• 1 skein Serendipitous Ewe Fate Fingering (400 yards, 14wpi) or equivalent yarn
• 1 US size 4 (3.5mm) circular needle
• a Ravelry account (since it's happening in the Ravelry group)
• 1 copy of What Would Madame Defarge Knit? OR a copy of the Wilhemina Shawlette pattern, available via Ravelry.

To get in the spirit of the knitalong, I also suggest reading Dracula and/or listening to the CraftLit discussions of the novel.
