A Quick Birthday Gift

Today is thing Two's BFF's birthday, so T2 requested I make either some legwarmers or a slouchy beanie for her.  Slouchy beanie it was!  I finished it with a few hours to spare - whew!  Kiana seemed to like it; she was wearing it when she and her mom brought T2 back from dinner (Korean food!) tonight.

Thing Two graciously agreed to model it for me.




I did the garter band a la Ripley, then joined, picked up stitches, [kfb, kfbf] around, then threw in a dropped stitch pattern.  Because it was knit so loosely, the dropped stitches just created a little texture.  I knit for...a while...then decreased sharply.  I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.  Whatchathink?
