Knitting Update / Defarginess

Well, I've been knitting a ton lately, but nothing I can really show you because it's all for Defarge Does Shakespeare (DDS).  Actually, one piece is for my swap partner in the Downton Abbey swap on Ravelry, but since I'm using it as a trial run of a design idea for DDS, I can't show real pictures.

That teaser post a while back?  Don't bust your brain trying to figure it out.  That was a jumble of swatches, all done in a totally different weight/brand/color of yarn from what I'll really be using.

I did, however, purchase some yarn for "research and development" This week.  Some of it won't arrive for quite a while, but that's OK.  I'm thrilled to have bought it because 20% of the purchase price goes to support SHARE, a non-profit organizations that helps bereaved parents who have experienced infant loss.  You can imagine how eager I was to give a hand to that cause, eh?

I bought two skeins of the sport weight version of  this uber-special yarn by Three Irish Girls in their limited-edition charity colorway, "You Are My Sunshine".  Um...I may have also ordered a skein of it in fingering and a coordinating skein of dark purple in fingering, but that was last week, so it doesn't count for this post about yarn bought this week, right?  Right?

The other yarn I got was a couple of skeins of Mmmmalabrigo Arroyo in Coffee Toffee from faithful LYS, Cottage Yarns:
