The thickest Boston accents are to be found among bartenders and waitresses.
Boston drivers LOVE to use their horns.
Steak frites is my newest favorite dish. I don't know what cut of meat it is, but I've now had it at two different restaurants, and it was terrific both times.
I am now experiencing severe "boot envy". Women in Boston have the coolest boots! Makes me miss the two pairs I had for ages in the late '80s/early '90s.
Nantucket scallops are also da bomb!
Boston is a great "walking" city.
Hubby and I agreed that we could easily spend days in the North End ("Little Italy") area alone. We also agreed that we could imagine ourselves living there. (Of course, we've never experienced Boston in the dead of winter...)
Places Where We/I Dined:
Vox Populi (dinner)
Tantric India Bistro (lunch)
Atlantic Fish Company (lunch)
Top of the Hub (dinner)
Anthony's Pier 4 (dinner)
Antico Forno (dinner)
Brasserie Jo (lunch)
Champions (dinner - only b/c we wanted to watch the game)
Legal Sea Foods (dinner - not a great choice)
Max & Dylan's Kitchen & Bar (beer for Hubby, coffee for me, mid-Freedom Trail)
Dunkin' Donuts (coffee after church to keep warm in the COLD weather)
I managed to avoid Filene's Basement! WOOT!
