Fabulous Weekend!

Pictures coming soon, but our weekend in Kuna (outside Boise), Idaho for Sean & Tara's wedding was terrific! Our hosts, Ed & J.K. were more than hospitable.  The party/wedding was truly one of a kind - spit-roasted pig, the groom having to vow to obey, and more.  It was great to see them pronounced "husband, wife, and family".

The next day (well, technically, later the same day, considering we didn't get back to Ed & J.K.'s place until 2:00 a.m.), a bunch of us went out shooting in the desert.  Sean, Teri & Ken were excellent teachers and vigilant guardians, making sure we were all safe.  I went along because Hubby wanted me to, not sure if I was going to shoot or just watch.  I shot.  Oooooh, yeah, I shot.  I had never touched a loaded gun in my life, and I shot a 9mm shotgun, a 12-gauge shotgun, a .22 caliber handgun, and a .357. If I had not had a healthy fear of and respect for the power of guns before, I certainly do now, as of my very first shot.  Of all the guns, I definitely enjoyed shooting the handguns much more than the big guns.  "Little Red Riding Hood Meets the Big Bad Wolf" video coming soon.

Dinner at the best Mexican restaurant in the Kuna area last night, then back over to Ryan's house this morning to do more cleaning up (and eat lunch) before flying home.

As I said, photos to come.  I have > 100 of them, so it's going to take a while.

Congratulations to Sean, Tara & family, and a big THANK YOU to Auntie for staying with the girls and Jenna while we were gone.

Hubby said it was the perfect start to his sabbatical, and I concur.
