"Genentech Gives Back" Charity Concert 2012

Thanks to a charity auction at work, Hubby was able to score two extra tickets to the big annual charity concert so that we could take Erin and Pat (Hubby's hunting partner) with us AND not have to stand in the big line to get in.  As always, the lineup was a well-kept secret, and we didn't know who was playing until they were introduced onstage.

First up, Lifehouse.  I hadn't heard of them before, but I did recognize a couple of their songs and liked them.




Second act...Jennifer Hudson.  She's not really my taste, but she performed well, really engaged the crowd, and put on a good show, even coming down off the stage to dance with some people pulled out of the audience.  The guy right in front of me wearing the blue sleeveless shirt was one of those selected.  This picture shows you how close we were to the stage.

   

Annnd the headliner was...Bruno Mars, much to our daughters' delight!  I really enjoyed him, too.  He's pretty versatile and talented, looked like he and his band were having a blast, and he definitely had it goin' ON, LOL.
