Momentous Occasion

Tuesday was a momentous occasion around here:  THING ONE GOT HER BRACES OFF!  As you can see from the pictures, she was thrilled.

Whenever someone gets his or her braces off at our orthodontist's office, they put on "Celebrate" by Kool and the Gang, the staff all cheers and dances around, they take pictures of the lucky patient, and he or she gets to "Spin the Big Wheel" - not to "see which year we land on today, Dave", but to see what sort of prize he's won.  As you can see from this video, Thing One was in that place of "I'm SO embarrassed, but I'm eating this up, but I'm so embarrassed, but I'm eating this up...."

    Booger said he say T1 at school, he said "I'm taller than you" and she said "but I got my braces off"
